Wrestling Superstars were the first-ever WWF action figures produced between 1984 and 1989. Wrestling Superstars were produced by LJN, a toy and video game company. Jakks, who later also produced WWF action figures, paid homage to LJN figures within their Classic Superstars line from 2002.

The same person who created the Classic Superstars line for WWF in 2002, is now running the AEW action figure line, which is why the packaging resembles this and also why LJN figures are being released within it.

Really great figure and brilliant to see the LJN logo again. Although this is an LJN style the scale is a little smaller than the original ones. Packaging design is brilliant as far as aesthetic but the physical execution a little puzzling. Why they made a window box design but then glued the bubble to the card back I'll never know. It's stupid to have to break thr box to get him out.
